Tim gained extensive corporate experience at leading Amsterdam law firms. He advises both domestic and international clients on complex corporate transactions. His practice focuses on large corporations and medium-sized to large enterprises, where he plays a key role in acquisitions, restructurings, financing, new investments and joint ventures.
An important part of Tim’s practice is dedicated to the energy sector. He regularly advises on large-scale financing transactions and projects involving onshore and offshore wind farms, solar parks, and battery energy storage systems. In this capacity, he works closely with our real estate department. Tim regularly works for banks, investors, project developers, and specialist legal firms. His experience covers both the structuring and execution of sophisticated transactions involving multiple stakeholders and complex legal and financial considerations.
Tim also has extensive expertise in investment and fund structures. He advises on the establishment of investment funds and investment vehicles, including structures involving limited partnerships and cooperatives. In addition, he is frequently engaged in transactions involving complex fund flows, debt assumptions, set-offs, and settlement arrangements through notarial escrow accounts. He provides external training courses on notary letters, transaction fund flows for specialist law firms. Furthermore, he is a member of a select internal knowledge team responsible for drafting format documentation, office policies, clauses and other practice materials.
Tim is known for his pragmatic approach and ability to find effective solutions to complex legal and transaction challenges.
